I Really Need to Think of Better Titles.

Of these posts I mean. I feel like I can only title so many things “Hello” or “Update” before it gets confusing.

But hello readers čÖé

Today it looks like Amazon put my paperback on sale so today would be a good day to buy a copy or three!┬á čśŤ Of course if ebooks are more your thing this is not on sale but it’s still there!

Work (more work?) has started on Out of Light (book 2) I’ve rewritten the first two chapters, (about 3k words) and possibly made a whole lot more work for myself because of an idea I had. But we’ll see how that goes.

Until next time!

A Couple Things I’ve Learned

During the writing of Out of Darkness and the currently┬á(cleverly) named ‘Book 2’, I’ve learned a couple things.

The first of these is: Never, ever claim you are close to done. (Seriously, don’t do it.)

If you read back (you probably shouldn’t) there are several posts of me claiming to be almost done, nearly done, one step away from done, and lastly, dangerously close to done. Guess how many of those have been right so far. (Actually, don’t guess.)

This post is not going to say how close to done I am,┬ádangerously or otherwise, because we know how that will end. Instead, it’s just an update.

Out of Darkness has been out to an editor and I’ve cleaned up, clarified, added, and deleted most of the things they mentioned. I’m going to send it back to them in a few days, and then they’ll send it back. Once that is done, maybe I’ll have another update that’s a little more exciting.

The second thing I’ve learned: I’m not good at thinking up multiple items for entries titled “A Couple Things I’ve learned.”

Mini update and ?!?! Cover reveal?

The past two weeks I’ve cut, rearranged, unrearranged and re-rearranged until I’ve lost 4k words, and in my growing excitement decided it was a good time to do a cover reveal.

Do I know what I’m doing? Heck no. Am I gonna do it anyway? Heck yes.

I’m dangerously close to declaring myself capital D done, and felt this was a good time to share! As a side note, before you see the good bits, I want to mention that formatting, making page numbers, and making chapter headers is infuriating. Oh, also comma splices are my number one enemy.

I bought it from this designer!   (I adore their style, and will likely use them for book two as well!)
